Shelter: BC SPCA - Shuswap Animal ID: 487626 Birthdate: May 16, 2014 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male Abbs is a friendly though initially timid dog. Sadly he was brought into SPCA care after his owner passed away. He is housetrained and knows basic obedience such as sit and shake-a-paw. He is used to being indoors and outdoors. Abbs can be initially timid when meeting new people, particularly men. He needs to be introduced to people and new situations slowly. He needs a more quiet environment and gentle handling. He needs a home with no young children due to his fearfulness. Once he gets past his timidness, he likes to be with people and is a sweetheart. He may get anxious when left alone. He will need to get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time. He has lived peacefully with cats and other dogs but has issues with some male dogs. Due to all of his recent life changes we would prefer that he is the only dog in the home. Abbs is looking for a patient guardian who can spend lots of time with him and would love to go on walks and adventures. He will make a wonderful companion to a lucky guardian!
