Sparky - Domestic Short Hair Kitten

Shelter: BC SPCA - Shuswap Branch Animal ID: 515082 Birthdate: June 04, 2020 - Kitten Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male After some back and forth we've decided to put our little scaredy cats up for adoption. These 3 kittens were born on a farm in Grindrod, their mom was wild, they were wild. At around 10 weeks old they were captured and bought to us. Unfortunately they missed the primary socialization period between 2 and 7 weeks of age but luckily they squeeked in on the secondary socialization period of 9 to 16 weeks. This means that they have been difficult to socialize but there is still hope. We have made a lot of progress with them but now they need to go to homes who can carry that on. What would be ideal is a home with a social cat/s that they can learn from. These kittens will need very specific homes, they are not for anyone wanting a cuddly, outgoing, social kitten. Although they have the potential to be this, it will take time and a commitment to them to make it happen. For the next part of their lives at least, they will need to be kept strictly indoors. To find the best homes for them we are willing to do a trial in your home for 3 weeks. This would limit homes to a fairly close proximity so that they can be returned if needed. We still welcome applications from people out of town with lots of experience who are unlikely to need to return them. We are not expecting these guys to be adopted together, although they are very happy together, we hope that they will bond with another cat in your home.
