Position: Site Superintendent Freeport Construction Management is a division of Freeport Industries that focuses on on-site assembly success. For over 20 years, Freeport Industries has designed and built high-quality custom homes and commercial, industrial, and institutional structures throughout BC and Alberta. Located in Westbank, our dedicated team of over 60 team members specializes in providing beautiful, high-quality, customized turnkey modular solutions. The Site Superintendent may have exposure to both traditional and modular building methods, either skill sets are desired. We pride ourselves on our outstanding customer service and attention to detail. We’ve also been the exclusive builder for Retire West Communities, Western Canada’s largest developer of land-leased modular home communities, since 1997. This position will be based out of the Okanagan area but will be required to travel for projects regularly. The Job: * Identify, communicate, and resolve any issues impacting project success and delivery. * Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to maintain schedule and ensure timely completion of assigned projects. * Identify and communicate all conflicts in construction progress, quality of work or scheduling and implement measures to proactively address emerging issues. * Provide expertise in all aspects of the construction process including Civil, Concrete, Framing, Building Systems (Fire Protection, HVAC, Plumbing & Electrical), Finishing, Inspections, and close-out. * Demonstrate excellent communication skills with site staff, sub-trades, consultants, engineers, and regional authorities, while remaining involved in all site activities. * Manage completion requests and Tenant Occupancy dates and Project close out. * Track and report on all project costs to ensure completion within budget. * Manage all aspects associated with the planning, construction and hand-over of structures on the project. * Manage budgets, production targets, planning and sequencing of the works. * Record and allocate cost coding to resources or oversee correct implementation of same.The Ideal Candidate: * Minimum of 5 years construction Superintendent experience, including staff supervisory experience. * Construction or Carpentry Technical Diploma, Trade Certification and/or equivalent training or experience; Trade background with progressive experience in general contracting. * Extensive working knowledge of BC Building Code, specifically Part 3 and 9. * Valid Driver’s License * Current First Aid certification an asset * Familiarity with Procore * Advanced knowledge of construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, procedures, scheduling, and cost control. * Strong management, delegation, and planning skills. * Excellent leadership and people management skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Strong communication skills both written and verbal. * Proven goal setting and problem-solving ability.Compensation: The typical hiring range for this position is $90,000 – 120,000 per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
